About Cornhole

Cornhole is an outdoor game that has taken the Midwest by storm. The debate will go on forever on where cornhole started. Some say Cincinnati Ohio, others say Kentucky or Illinois. Being that I live close to Cincinnati that's what I'm going with.

This outdoor game consists of two cornhole boards, eight corn filled bags and four people. The idea of the game it to get to 21 before the other team does. If you would like to see the rules please visit our cornhole rules page.

Why make your own

I have seen a lot of bag toss games like Baggo sold at big box stores like Kroger and Walmart. These are usually made of plastic or very thin cheap wood. The issue is you are throwing 1lb bags at these boards. When plastic or cheap wood is used you get a lot of bounce. Kids also like to walk on them. If you buy plastic Baggo boards they are not going to last you very long.

If you build your own cornhole you get a couple benefits. Firstly you can build them for about the same price as you would be paying for them, next you will get a MUCH better product and you will get to customize your game anyway you like.
